SEWING SHOP ASSISTANT MANAGER

We are looking for a highly motivated person who loves sewing to learn to run our shop here in Colorado, as the sewing industry regains a foothold in America once again.

We are located in the Boulder and Denver area, against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, and we are looking for an adventurous and optimistic person to help lead and evolve the company as an efficient and world class manufacturing organization.

The person we are looking for is well-organized, intelligent, patient, and a non-procrastinator. We need somebody to learn planning and to coordinate production, ensure super high quality, maintain lasting relationships with our customers, and have a mind to ensure profitability from all of our business operations.

There’s also purchasing, designing new products for our own brand as well as our contract customers, and setting a dependable example of integrity, high quality, and on-time deliveries.

Requirements for this position are several years of college or a degree in production management or related field. HS graduation is the bare minimum. For work experience, 2 or more years of working in a production sewing & manufacturing plant is strongly preferred. Please note that we will consider any combination of work and school, especially if you show the right degree of energy, enthusiasm and aptitude for the work!

Preferred coursework or background in software apps in the sewing industry: Labor tracking software for measuring production times and budgeting job costs; pattern storage, marker printing, or digital cuttinggeneral aptitude with spreadsheets, word processing, accounting software, email, social media, etc.

The position will also include job costing and pricing; personnel management; and even marketing and sales support.
